Within the scope of the “Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach (RESMAR)” Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, applied training sessions were held in İstanbul between July 29 and 31, 2026, in order to assess the applicability of the Business Continuity Plans prepared for the pilot Organized Industrial Zones. During the programme, the plans were reviewed together with the participants, the scenarios developed during the preparatory meetings were evaluated through the tabletop exercise method, crisis management processes were tested, and the alignment of the plans with the organizational structure and operational reality was analysed.

Within the scope of the “Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach (RESMAR)” Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, the 7th technical site visit was carried out in İstanbul between July 22 and 24, 2026, in order to prepare the applied training to be delivered at the pilot Organized Industrial Zones. During the visit, the scope of the applied training was defined, the current status of the participating OIZs was assessed, the Business Continuity Plans prepared under the project were reviewed, and the scenarios and exercise design to be used in the training were developed together with the stakeholders.

The RESMAR Project Closing Meeting, organized under the project "Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach: Marmara Region Application (RESMAR)" - co-financed by the European Union and AFAD - was held on July 1–2, 2026, at the Hilton Bomonti Hotel in Istanbul, under the theme "Business Continuity Vision from Marmara to Türkiye."

Co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, the closing meeting of the project will be held on July 1–2, 2026, in Istanbul with broad participation.

ANKARA (April 2026) – A nine-member AFAD Project Team carried out a technical study visit to Spain between 13 and 17 April 2026 under the RESMAR Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD. Over five working days in Madrid and Barcelona, the delegation held technical meetings with nine organisations including military emergency response units, civil protection authorities, private sector companies, and international organisations.

The team of the “Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach (RESMAR)” Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, continues to disseminate the experience gained through its activities across the entire country.

Field activities under the “Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters through a Business Continuity Management Approach: Marmara Region Application (RESMAR)” Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, were carried out through a two-day technical program hosted by Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone (ÇOSB), one of the pilot implementation sites.

Chemical Specialized) Organized Industrial Zone.

Fieldwork continues within the scope of the "Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach (RESMAR)" Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD. The RESMAR Project team conducted a technical visit to the Gebze Güzeller Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) to increase the resilience of the industrial infrastructure in the Marmara Region against disasters.
