ABOUT THE PROJECT
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The RESMAR Project aims to increase the organizational disaster resilience of Organized Industrial Zones (OIZs) in the Marmara Region against disasters. Coordination by AFAD and supported by the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM), the project ensures that the industrial infrastructure becomes prepared against natural and technological disasters, hazards as well as climate change threats..
In this regard, we are;
- Conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and risk assessments specific to OIZs,
- Determining business recovery strategies for OIZs,
- Preparing business continuity plans against disaster risks,
- Providing training and guidance documents for OIZ managers and technical personnel,
- Developing field applications and exercises as AFAD, in collaboration with relevant public institutions, to support rapid recovery after crises.
With RESMAR, we aim not only to create a model applicable in the Marmara Region but also in OIZs throughout Türkiye; and to develop and disseminate a disaster risk reduction culture in industrial zones and enterprises through a business continuity approach.
