The team of the “Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach (RESMAR)” Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, continues to disseminate the experience gained through its activities across the entire country.

Field activities under the “Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters through a Business Continuity Management Approach: Marmara Region Application (RESMAR)” Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, were carried out through a two-day technical program hosted by Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone (ÇOSB), one of the pilot implementation sites.

Technical field activities within the scope of the "Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach (RESMAR)" Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, continue with a visit to the Global Karma Organized Industrial Zone.

Fieldwork continues within the scope of the "Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach (RESMAR)" Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, with a technical visit to GEBKİM (Kocaeli Gebze V. Chemical Specialized) Organized Industrial Zone.

Fieldwork continues within the scope of the "Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach (RESMAR)" Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD. The RESMAR Project team conducted a technical visit to the Gebze Güzeller Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) to increase the resilience of the industrial infrastructure in the Marmara Region against disasters.

Technical information meetings and field visits were carried out at Bursa Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone (DOSAB) within the scope of the “Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach: Marmara Region Application (RESMAR: Resilient Marmara)” Project, which aims to increase the resilience of Organized Industrial Zones (OIZ) in the Marmara Region against disasters and crises and is co-financed by the European Union (EU) and AFAD.

The 2nd Steering Committee Meeting of the “Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach: Marmara Region Application (RESMAR: Resilient Marmara)” Project, which aims to increase the resilience of Organized Industrial Zones in the Marmara Region against disasters and crises and is co-financed by the European Union (EU) and AFAD, was held on January 15, 2026. Managers and representatives from the AFAD Presidency and Organized Industrial Zones Supreme Organization (OSBÜK), along with the project team, participated in the meeting.

Business Continuity: The Foundation of Organizational Resilience The business continuity approach is an indispensable component of organizational resilience, regardless of the scale of the enterprise. In today’s risk environment, the "wait and see" reflex is no longer acceptable. Effective institutions are structures that analyze risks in advance, calculate scenarios, and establish the operational capacity to reflect these plans in the field when necessary.

Within the scope of the RESMAR Project, the AFAD Project Team participated in the Business Continuity Management (BCLE2000) training held in Almere, the Netherlands. Representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Technology and Provincial AFAD Directorates (Bursa, Sakarya, Kocaeli, and Istanbul) also attended the training.

On October 8, 2025, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) organized a meeting on "Preparation and Dissemination of Business Continuity Plans." Representatives from the Ministries of Health, Energy and Natural Resources, Transport and Infrastructure, Industry and Technology, and Trade, along with the RESMAR Project Team, participated in the meeting.
