Business Continuity Management System and Business Continuity Plans Training to Be Held in Bursa 13 May 2026

Within the scope of the “Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach: Marmara Region Implementation (RESMAR)” Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, a regional training programme will be held in Bursa on 14-15 May 2026.

The programme, titled “Business Continuity Management System and Business Continuity Plans Training”, will focus on disaster preparedness in Organized Industrial Zones (OIZs), business continuity management systems, risk assessment processes, and the preparation of business continuity plans.

Technical and administrative representatives from Organized Industrial Zones located in Bursa, Bilecik, Çanakkale, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Yalova and Balıkesir are expected to participate in the training programme.

The programme agenda will cover:
• business continuity management system approaches,
• disaster risk assessment processes,
• natural and technological hazards,
• major industrial accidents,
• the relationship between climate change and business continuity,
• and practical workshop sessions,

with contributions from experts in their respective fields.

Through the RESMAR Project, it is aimed to strengthen the business continuity capacities of selected Organized Industrial Zones in the Marmara Region in order to support the uninterrupted continuation of production and services following disasters.

As emphasized within the project framework, preparing business continuity plans before disasters occur is considered critical for ensuring operational sustainability and industrial resilience in the aftermath of disasters.
